OBIS Case Manager™ Case Manager is a tool for specific program staff. For each program such as Choices, WIA or FSE&T, Case Manager presents a unified view of all necessary data and reports in a centralized location. ![]() Case Manager Workflow Case Manager allows managers and staff to view summary reports, to look up associated tables and lists, to drill down to customer level for case management, and to export data to Excel. Summary tables offer comparisons across staff as a measure of staff productivity and efficiency. Customer tables combine all relevant reports available separately in TWIST as well as other off-line data such as child care reports. For example, 'TANF Federal', 'Time', and 'Active' reports are combined and new calculated variables are added so that all relevant information -- which often exists in one report but not on the other -- is easily accessble. Child care status and support service expenditure are also connected to individual customers. Case Manager also utilizes color-coding to highlight problem cases. This flagging helps staff locate these cases immediately and, as a control service, it increases staff's accountability. Highlighted cases, if they violate business rules, are forwarded to managers by BAM Monitor. Analytic uses of Business Intelligence is built into Case Manager. For example, cumulative data is used to aid in case management. Each Choices customer's performance status (e.g. 'outreached', 'not responding to outreach', 'participating') for the last six months are presented in a color-coded table (see below). Staff can easily discern a pattern in participation, and by filtering customers based on their past participation history, one can identify a group of customers with a similar problem such as perpetual outreach non-responders, or those participants with less than required participation hours. ![]() Choices Customer History for Last 6 Months A special report for Child Care offers an effective way to prevent potential disallowed costs cases. Each week, customer reports from child care providers can be imported as a CSV or Excel file.
